What Is Northstar?
Northstar is a web-based EHR and revenue platform built by Catalyst 3 for oncology practices. It connects the workflows of the front desk, MA rooming, provider notes, the lab and the infusion suite in each patient's chart, and prepares charges from the care your team documents.
For chemotherapy and infusion, Northstar works out HCPCS billing units from the dose given and applies the JW or JZ drug waste modifier based on the vial used. Anything unusual goes to your billing staff for review. Every staff login uses multi-factor authentication, activity is written to an append-only audit log, and chart access is set patient by patient.
